Distractions are good
No new amazing but true facts at this point. I do like anything that distracts me from work however. I assume you do as well since you're here reading this now. Bad for business, but thanks anyway!
Not much going on right now. My boss isn't happy with the quality of the 1st level support. (I'm 2nd level) The first level takes all the phone calls from users and then passes the difficult problems to my group (second level). Now, because she's not happy, we have to take all the calls and do our jobs too. It's my turn this week because I'm on call. In short: I can't wait for this week to be over.
"Applications Support, this is Chris, how may I disservice you today?"
I did watch the movie Seven this week. It was disturbing, but really good. I recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it... or even if you have. Watch it again. It's one of those, "I'm still thinking about it" movies.

This kinda reminds me of a stand up routine I saw long enough ago so I forget who the comedian was... but he was like, (Oh, I just remembered, it's the guy who does the sea cow joke), he was like, "I hate it when I see a movie that's like 5 years old and then I want to talk about it with friends, and they look at me like, 'Oh, I thought we were sharing current events'," or something like that, I forget exactly. The basic point was he wanted to talk about Heat and the movie wasn't essentially trendy anymore.
Though now that I think about it... talking about a 5 year old movie that's a true classic isn't quite as bad as horribly misquoting a 3 or 4 year old stand up routine.
Love,
Wess Sy!
